Racing for 50 years, Rod won numerous Amateur National, Regional, State and Track Championships all over the country. He has supported more than 250 youth racers culminating in over 100 Amateur National Champions, and 5 Dirt Track Horizon Award winners, including World Champion Nicky Hayden. Over 100 Professional Dirt Track Racers over 40 years have gotten his support, including Champions Steve Eklund, Chris Carr, Ricky Graham and Briar Bauman.
